are confused whether to use an inversion, an auxiliary verb, or a question word, here are some examples that may help a little in this regard
1-When we have sentences that contain either verb to be (is, am, are) or the special finites (will, can, shall...etc.) we use the inversion method as in this example:
he is a teacher
Is he a teacher?
he will play football
Will he play football?
2- By using do (does-do) +subject+infinitive
Examples:
Mr Brown teaches this class
Does Mr. Brown teach this class?
I come here everyday
Do you come here everyday?
3- By using question words (who, how, which, where, why, what), in this case we have two options, if the interrogative pronoun is the subject of the sentencee, there is no inversion after the question word
example
Ahmad is my friend
Who is your friend
so here who is put instead of Ahmad and the sentence is written as it is because we are asking about the subject
When we ask about the object then we do the inversion with sentences that contain verb to be and special finites and the sentences that need auxiliaries
example
William can speak Russian and French
What languages can William speak?
Iam coming next month to see you
When are you coming to see us?
